Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is an evidence based talking therapy that looks at how our thoughts and ways of thinking impact on how we feel (emotions), how we behave (what we do and what we don't do), and also the impact this has on us physically.
CBT enables us to break cycles of unhelpful thinking patterns that may be causing us distress and to change our associated behaviours.
CFT (Compassion Focussed Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
These two approaches are my go to approaches for CBT. They are often referred to as "third wave" CBT.
