I'm Helen, an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner and BACP Accredited Counsellor with over 19 years' experience working therapeutically in a range of settings.

I work with adults who have often spent time thinking about their difficulties and may already have a good understanding of themselves, but still find themselves stuck in patterns they would like to change. You may understand why you react in a particular way, but knowing why doesn't always make it easier to respond differently.

My approach is integrative. I use EMDR, CBT and ACT-informed approaches depending on what you want to work on and what is likely to be most helpful. Sometimes a focused CBT or ACT approach is all that is needed; for other difficulties, EMDR can help shift patterns that haven't changed through insight alone.

I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner and have additional training in Attachment-Informed EMDR. I have also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Clinical Supervision.

I work collaboratively with clients and aim to keep therapy focused and practical. Rather than following one approach with everyone, we will look at what is happening for you, what you want to change and which approach is most likely to help.

I offer online therapy throughout the UK, with limited in-person sessions available in Dunfermline.
